For English readers
Daring Fireball en Español is an independent Spanish translation of the blog Daring Fireball by John Gruber. Every article on this website has been written by John Gruber and translated by Ángel Domínguez, freelance translator and designer. Daring Fireball en Español is a personal project by Ángel Domínguez, and is not affiliated in any way with the original Daring Fireball, although it has been authorized by John Gruber as a Spanish version of his blog.
Why
Daring Fireball is one of the best sources of information and opinion on all things Apple, design and culture, and it has been heavily quoted in Spanish blogs specializing in Apple rumors and news, many times including bad translations of the original posts by John Gruber. Daring Fireball en Español wants to solve that, providing accurate and quality translations of the original articles to act as a reliable source of information for many Spanish-speaking readers who are missing the work of John Gruber.
The looks
A decision was made to maintain the same layout and style of the original Daring Fireball, for the sake of keeping a familiarity with DF, only reversing the color palette to create a positive or “dark on white” version of the original blog design. Great effort was put into trying to emulate the original structure and logic of the original Daring Fireball, and for the most part it has been achieved. Posts in Spanish have two stars that link to both the Spanish entry and the original English entry, and titles are linked to the original news source that is mentioned in the very entry.
